Shimmering Pink Roses

Hello Everyone,

As you may know, Heather Telford and our Foiled Fox team are featuring a card challenge and it is all about the sparkle.Today we have another way to get your Sparkle On. We are hoping to inspire you to create your own sparkly card and post it for a chance to win one of our three prizes!

This card is a quickie to help send out more sparkle in the world. It starts with a white cardstock panel that has been cut using the largest die of the Whimsy Stamp Hand Stitched Frames. Next, using Post-It tape (all supplies listed below), I taped off a section.

With the card panel prepped, I tinted a small bit of Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste by smearing the tiniest bit of Festive Berries distress ink onto an acrylic stamping block and blending it with the paste. You would be amazed how little of the ink you need and really how little of the paste you need too.

Next, I laid the stencil over top the open area of the taped section and generously spread the paste.

Once the paste was evenly spread, I gently lifted the stencil and peeled away the Post-It tape and set it aside to dry a few minutes.

Meanwhile, I cut a slightly bigger panel of Cotton Candy cardstock. When the stenciled panel was dry, I applied the stenciled panel to the pink panel and added some foam to the back.

A piece of gray and white diagonally striped paper from the MFT Gray and White Basics paper pad was cut the same size as the front of a white cardstock card base and adhered to the front. The stenciled front was then added and the ‘hugs’ Avery Elle sentiment was cut twice from Black Licorice Twist card stock. I stacked and glued the two ‘hugs’ together to give dimension and glued it to the front. For the final touch, enamel dots from the My Mind’s Eye In Bloom Enamel Dots collection were added.
