Hi Creative Friends,
As you may remember, last week I shared a card design using the Petals die set by Penny Black. It is a fabulous die set and so easy to use in a variety of ways. So, I just had to make another card!
Before I jump into the ins and outs of this design, don’t forget you can still save 15% on all Penny Black until midnight tonight, Monday, July 17th.
Boy, this card design couldn’t be easier! I started with an A2 white card stock card base and mounted a Robin’s Egg blue panel on top. Next, I cut out my sentiment and the shadow background piece too. I used the Penny Black Hugs Edger and a piece of white card stock.
After all the edger pieces were cut, I mounted the ‘hugs’ word on top of the shadow edger. To pop it up a bit, I added foam to the back of the shadow part. The edges on the left and right were then folded over to just fit a 4×5.25″ white cardstock panel.
With the edger and the white panel together, I added foam to the back of the white panel and then adhered the whole thing on top of the Robin’s Egg card front.
Next, I cut a bunch of flowers using the Petals die set by Penny Black. I used Robin’s Egg blue, Antique Gold Shimmer, and Licorice Black card stock for the flowers.
To complete the picture, the flowers were arranged and mounted with a foam square on the front, and sparkly Stargazer black jewels were added in the center of each flower.
I love how the card turned out. I hope you liked it too! It was a super easy make and that just makes it all that more fun!
