Greetings crafty friends,
We’re pleased to present another gorgeous card design (and video) from our dear friend, Heather Telford. Heather is featuring the Concord and 9th “Songbird” as the focal point of her Autumnal creation. As you can see, this is another fantastic show of talent from Heather. Enjoy.
Hi everyone, I am so happy to be back on The Foiled Fox blog and to have a video to share as well! The Concord & 9th ‘Songbird’ set is an all year set. I first stamped it in winter so it’s about time I tried something new with it.
To create this little scene I worked on hot pressed watercolor paper and did some partial inking so I could stamp the outline images in brushed corduroy, fossilized amber, and pumice stone. I made some masks for overlapping images; you know I don’t like fussy cutting but the bird and the leaves were not a challenge to cut out! I painted the whole scene with a mix of distress inks and distress stains. My final touches were some splatter (you know I love splatter), some sponging ( a past fave technique of mine) and a sentiment.
I pulled out the Concord & 9th ‘grateful for everything’ set for the sentiment because I love the words and that funky script.
You can see all the process in the video so I won’t go into detail here. You can also see some of my favorite tools and DIY supplies I use these days too.
I would love to know if you have some favorite ‘all year round’ stamps or sets. Here are a couple more all-season options:
