A week or so ago I shared a ‘love you’ card with a colorful mosaic background. Since I had cut out the mosaic pattern from each of the colors used, I had oodles of pieces leftover! So, in an effort to be tidy and also use some of these pieces, I made another mosaic background. This time, it is a colorful and cheerful birthday card.

We are so very excited to share an awesome slimline card by Lisa Tilson of My Card Trip blog (@lisatilson). She used the adorable bears from the Beach Bear stamp and die set by My Favorite Things and pastel colors to create a soothing and relaxing beach scene. Today’s project is a quick and easy one that creates an amazing birthday or special occasion card. I don’t know about you but that is right up my alley! It seems I or someone in my family is always scrambling to find a handmade birthday card to give so this Papertrey Ink – Ink To Paper Big Balloon Cover Plate is perfect to create an awesome card in a hurry! (My only regret is that the camera just didn’t pick up all the iridescent colors the glitter paper gives – that paper just makes it jump!)
