We are sharing two card designs, both using the Alexandra Renke Fir Trees die. These are lovely artistic trees that you can use lots of different ways. In the video we are sharing, you will see two different backgrounds to create two different flavors from the same die.
Please take a moment and watch the video. It will give you all the ins and outs of the design. And don’t forget, the complete supply list is below.
And, as always, we would be ever so happy if you subscribed to our YouTube channel, if you haven’t already. Thanks so much… enjoy!

Hi Crafty Friends,
We have something exciting to announce!! Starting today, The Foiled Fox and Heather Telford (one of our very favorite guests!) are hosting a Holiday Traditions giveaway event. For the next couple of weeks, we will be sharing card designs that represent a few holiday traditions we enjoy in our homes. We are hoping you will join in on the fun and share a few of your holiday traditions by commenting on our blogs and Instagram (links are provided at the bottom of this post). Each time you comment, you will have another chance to win.
To kick off this merriment, Heather is sharing their family tradition of making gingerbread. When Heather told me her tradition, I was sure I would see gingerbread men on her card design. I was so surprised and awestruck by her ingenuity and cleverness! This year, she is not only making tasty gingerbread cookies to delight her family but she has made a duo of incredible card designs to share with us. Don’t they look good enough to eat?

Hi Crafty Friends,
The card design today does not have the usual color scheme for a Holiday card… but it is still one of my favorites. It might be that I love black and the contrast. In any event, I couldn’t resist making this color combination.
Besides the black, red and white, I love Pinkfresh’s Squirrel Friends stamp and die set. These squirrels are so cute! The other great thing is that I think you could use them year ’round. I am eager to see them in a forest meadow scene.

Hi Crafty Friends,
Today’s card design is a bright and cheery winter scene, complete with the quintessential snowman and ice pond. The big sky sets the stage for the wintery look and the trees and village add to this Jolly Holiday scene.
Oh, what fun I had using all Penny Black dies to make this card. Let’s get started.

Hi there! Today I am pleased as punch to be guesting with The Foiled Fox again! WOOT WOOT! I adore these folks! I’ve created a trio of cards that have a beautiful Birch background stamp and some fun snowmen from the Making Frosty Friends stamp set and coordinating die.
To create the first two cards, I inked up the Birch Background stamp with just two colors of distress inks: stormy sky and blueprint sketch. Then I spritzed it lightly with water and pressed my watercolored cardstock onto the stamp. (WITHOUT re-inking the stamp, I stamped it again onto another pieced of watercolored cardstock and the background to my second card was born – more on that in a bit).
