To My Dear Friend + video

To My Dear Friend + video

Hi Crafty Friends,

I am back with a new video demonstrating a sweet card design using the new stamp and die set, Floral Breeze by Papertrey Ink, an Ink To Paper collection. It features a fabulous tree and flowers. I love the sentiment since I know just the dear friend I will send this to!

Please take a look at the video and see how it comes together.

Here’s the video.

This is an easy card to make. It starts by stamping the tree, flowers, and leaves, then cutting them out with the matching dies. I used Papertrey Ink ink cubes for this. The flowers were stamped using Sweet Blush and Berry Sorbet. The centers were stamped with Honey Nut. The leaves were stamped with a combination of Green Parakeet, New Leaf, and Pinefeather. For the tree, I used Honey Nut over the entire tree, then bits of Cocoa Bean and Dark Chocolate for shading and interest.

Next, I cut a white Postage Frame and Skinny Stitched Frame. A Sweet Blush panel was added to a white card base. Then, the Postage frame was added.

To continue, a piece of foam was added to the back of a small Soft Stone cardstock panel to pop it up. Then, the ‘to my dear friend’ from the Hugs mini sentiment set was stamped with Smokey Shadow and a tiny heart with Berry Sorbet.

The gray mini panel was then added on top of the Postage frame, then the Skinny Stitched frame and the tree. The flowers and leaves were arranged and tiny dots of Nuvo Simply White drops were added for accent.

Let’s not forget the inside. A sentiment from the Just Because Inside Greeting was stamped with Weathervane gray ink and two little flowers added with Sweet Blush, Berry Sorbet, Honey Nut and Green Parakeet for the leaves… what a great addition to a card, don’t you think?

Well, there we have it… all done! Thanks for joining us today. I will be back very soon with a special pop-up video, don’t miss it!
