Watercoloring The Geode Stamp by Concord & 9th

Watercoloring The Geode Stamp by Concord & 9th

Hi Everyone,

Concord & 9th has just released the Geode stamp and die set. We have created a video (see below) to show you how we used the stamp set. Hopefully, this will inspire you to get out your paints and give it a whirl. Choose whatever color palette that strikes your fancy!

We chose to use a blue palette and color it with Daniel Smith watercolors. But below we got to that, we expanded the pattern and embossed it with a sparkly WOW! Gold Sparkle embossing powder. Take a look at the video below for all the details.

Here are a few close-ups that give a closer look at how the Kuretake Gamsai Tambi Mica color palette, combined with the Daniel Smith paints make the Geode deisgn shimmer.

You can also see how dimensional the sentiment becomes when you die cut four ‘You’ words, using the All About You die set also by Concord & 9th and stack them on top of one another. The ‘You’ was cut from Neenah 110lb. Solar White cardstock.

The rich Daniel Smith watercolors are a wonderful complement to the gold embossing, then the white ‘You’ with the navy blue ‘are my rock’ complete this card.

We hope you enjoyed the video and project. Please join us for our next adventure
