You Are Loved

You Are Loved

Hi creative friends,

Today I am sharing a new card design featuring the beautiful You Are Loved stamp and die set by Papertrey Ink. It is a very special set that is perfect for any time you want pretty little flowers and a charming, lacey wreath.

I began by cutting out all the pieces in the You Are Loved die set from a white card panel. From there, I mounted the cutouts and coordinating stamps in my stamp positioner, inked them with various colors, and then stamped them. Here is a list of the inks used (you can also find them in our supply list below:

Flowers: Sweet Blush, Hibiscus Burst, Lovely Lady, Scarlet Jewel, and Bright Buttercup

Wreath and Leaves: Spring Moss, Ripe Avocado, and Ocean Tides

With the flowers and leaves complete, I worked on the other supporting pieces. I cut out an oval from white card stock using the Love to Layer: Ovals (by the way, the new Psalm Reflection: December die would have been brilliant here too!)

I also made an A2 white card base and panel. With the panel in hand, I inked up the Ornamental Swirl Hot Foil plate using Spring Moss ink (instead of using foil) and then ran it through my die-cutting machine.  The results were a deep swirl design!

One more piece was needed to pull everything together. Since I didn’t have a suitable piece of patterned paper, I made my own using the new At The Bottom stencil and a strip of pink cardstock. There are cute little roses on one of the stencils. I used that and a slightly darker pink ink to stencil.

Now I was ready to assemble.

The pink stenciled strip was first to be mounted to the Ornamental Swirl panel, and a pink twine cord was tied around the middle with a bow.

Next, it was mounted to the card base, and the oval was mounted on top with foam squares.

The wreath and flowers were arranged and either glued or mounted with a foam square. For this card, I stamped the sentiment from the You Are Loved stamp set last so I knew just where it belonged. It was stamped using Ripe Avocado ink.

That finished my card. I was happy with the result… I hope you were too!
