Knight in Shining Armor by Rosali

Hi Everyone,

This week is star-studded with talent! First, we had Heather Telford visiting with us on Tuesday and today we are over-the-moon excited to introduce a new friend and guest, Rosali. You may have seen Rosali’s AWESOME designs on Instagram or Flickr. She is soooo creative and fun!

Check out her latest creation and bio below. And, don’t forget to visit her on Instagram and Flickr too.

Hi, Rosali from ilovestamping here! I am very happy and exited to be a guest on The Foiled Fox blog today!!

For my card, I chose the fairytale themed “Knight in Shining Armor” by My Favorite Things-I fell in love with its adorable images right away! I wanted to create an interactive card because they are so much fun for the recipient! That’s why I also used the “Blueprints 28 Die-namics” with its interactive flap for my card design.

First, I created a landscape with Distress Ink blending for my front panel. I freehand cut some hills from a piece of masking paper. For the sky I used Distress Ink colors Mustard Seed, Worn Lipstick, Broken China and a little bit of Chipped Sapphire around the corners. The hills are made with Crushed Olive and Forest Moss. To color in the cute knight and his horse I used my Copic markers. After I foam mounted the knight on the die-cut front panel I thought it still looked a bit plain so I finished it off with some Nuvo Drops in yellow (sky/sun) and red (hills/flowers).

My idea was to stamp the castle inside under the card flap as if it suddenly appears on the horizon when the little knight rides his horse over the hills. To get an idea where my elements should be positioned on the bottom panel, I positioned the flap panel above it, opened the flap and drew alongside the open rectangle with a pencil. That way, I could now see which part of the bottom panel would be visible on the finished card. I then first stamped the castle, masked it and repeated the Distress Ink blending the same way as on the front panel. To color in the castle, I again used my Copic markers.

I hope you like this colorful card I have shown you today! Have a great day! ♥
