Watercolored Rose Card for Mother’s Day

Watercolored Rose Card for Mother’s Day

Hi Crafty Friends,

Since Mother’s Day is right around the corner, I wanted to make a special card for my daughter. I decided on the beautiful rose in the Concord & 9th Painted Rose stamp and die set. I had such fun making it that I created two different version. I am featuring the watercolored version in the video below.

This new stamp and die set from Concord & 9th is soooo pretty! You can stamp and use the layering stamps to shade the flower or it is also fun to color with Copic markers or watercolor. For this video, we have watercolored the rose with Daniel Smith watercolors but we have also included a Copic colored version too (the gray rose).

Take a peek at our video below.

Here are a few detail pictures of the card so you can get a closer look.

I love roses so I couldn’t resist stamping it on the inside of the card.

In the second card, the card has the same components but a different color scheme was used. To start, the rose is colored using Copic markers (see list of colors below) and gold splatters of Gold Mica ink were added.

This stamp and die set is so versatile. You can color it any way you like or you can even stamp it using the included layering stamps for a gorgeous look.

For a quick reference, here are the Copic markers used for the flower. All the other components are the same, just different ink colors were used.

Thank you so much for joining us today – See you next time ♥

Two beautiful cards. I am very traditional so the pink strikes my fancy the most. However, the charcoal is appealing and more contemporary. thank you so much for sharing. I so enjoy seeing different renditions of a card using the same tools. It helps me think more creatively.

Happy Mothers Day to You and your daughter!
