A Winter White Poinsettia Thank You by Heather Telford
Hi Crafty Friends,
It is nice to be back after a few days of Christmas cheer. We sincerely hope your holidays were wonderful and you are still enjoying a few extra days of 'r and r' yourself! As a special treat, we are welcoming Heather Telford back again! Heather's artistry and card design are always one of our favorites and today she is sharing a gorgeous winter white poinsettia. The stamp she is using is the beautiful "Christmas Red" by Penny Black.
Heather amazes us how she can create such beauty with just a few distress inks and/or stains. Read on for all the details on how she made this poinsettia come to life. Then, if you are enjoying this project as much as us, pop over to her blog for more inspiration.
Sled Ride In The Winter
Hi Crafty Friends,
The card design today does not have the usual color scheme for a Holiday card... but it is still one of my favorites. It might be that I love black and the contrast. In any event, I couldn't resist making this color combination.
Besides the black, red and white, I love Pinkfresh's Squirrel Friends stamp and die set. These squirrels are so cute! The other great thing is that I think you could use them year 'round. I am eager to see them in a forest meadow scene.
Merry Christmas and Sweet Tidings
Hi there,
We are sooooo excited to show off our new Alexandra Renke dies. There are three fabulous stars, though we are only using two for this project, and adorable Christmas icons like a gingerbread man and candy cane. The card is simple to make but the beautiful dies and paper from Alexandra Renke create an elegant design when finished!
As an extra bonus, these dies make wonderful 'bows' for gifts. Check out the image below.
Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow
HI Crafty Friends,
The winter is upon us and what better way to celebrate than with snowflakes. These big, beautiful snowflakes are from the Concord & 9th Snow Flurry stamp and die set. With a little embossing and spritzing, it creates a wonderful wintery effect!
Full Blossom Poinsettia Bouquet
Hi there,
Today's card design is a beautiful full blossom poinsettia bouquet. Not too long ago we featured a poinsettia (click here) using a My Favorite Things poinsettia die set. There are many poinsettia die sets that are worthy of mention and would work swimmingly, but for today's poinsettia, the Blooming Poinsettia by Poppystamps was our choice.
A Merry Holiday Ornament
Hi Crafty Friends,
Today's card design is a big, beautiful ornament that is sure to bring a smile to any holiday recipient. It is made using the Concord & 9th Ornamental dies and a few vibrant alcohol ink colors. The ornament die has wonderful cut-outs to enhance the design and makes it a natural for a shaker.
Have A Very Jolly Holiday!
Hi Crafty Friends,
Today's card design is a bright and cheery winter scene, complete with the quintessential snowman and ice pond. The big sky sets the stage for the wintery look and the trees and village add to this Jolly Holiday scene.
Oh, what fun I had using all Penny Black dies to make this card. Let's get started.
Beautiful and Bold Pink Poinsettia
Hi Everyone,
There are so many wonderful themes for holiday cards that it gets my creative juices going into hyper-drive! Poinsettias are one of my favorite icons of the holiday season so making them are a natural!
Over the next few days, you will see a few of them since there are several great poinsettias die sets available. In this card design, I have used the My Favorite Things Perfect Poinsettia Die-namics. It creates a very large blossom with vein embossed leaves as an extra bonus.
