Floral Impression
Hi Creative Friends,
I am excited to share my latest for two reasons. First, Penny Black’s Awakening trio (embossing folder, die, and stencil) is gorgeous and it is so easy and fast to make a beautiful floral card! Then, combine it with a sentiment from the Birthday Wishes stamp set and you have a hit!

I started with a cold-pressed watercolor panel, misted the back with water (the Spellbinder Mighty Mister is awesome for this), placed it in the embossing folder and ran it through my die-cutting machine using my rubber mat.
I am not sure if these flowers are wisteria, hydrangea, or lilac, but now worries, the colors I chose work great for any of those flowers. So…using the stencil, I ink-blended Tumbled Glass on the flowers and added bits of Uncharted Mariner, Villainous Potion, and Picked Raspberry distress inks.

Then, using the second stencil, I used Iced Spruce for the leaves, with a little Forest Moss for shading. The stems were colored with a combination of green and brown Tombow pens,
A lovely birthday sentiment was chosen from the Birthday Wishes stamp set and stamped onto the panel using Versafine Clair Fantasia ink. This waterproof ink is a beautiful shade of purple!

The panel was then mounted onto a card base, and the card was done.
Wow! That was fantastic! A gorgeous floral card was done in minutes! ♥
