Through The Forest

Hello Everyone!

It’s Leslie (IG: @pianoh_) here. I am so happy to do another card for ‘The Foiled
Fox!’ This time it turned into three because the ‘Through the Forest Die Collection’
from Papertrey Ink gave me so many ideas! I love tree dies, and so this set spoke to
me and it was great fun to work with!

• The ‘Night Sky’ Card – I started blending Seedless Preserves and Faded
Jeans to make the background, adding a bit of sparkle spray after the blending.
For the trees, I used Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Pine Needles as
watercolours and spread quite a bit of ink on each panel before die cutting.

• The ‘Sunrise’ Card – I used Picked Raspberry, Dried Marigold, Squeezed
Lemonade, Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn from the top to the bottom of the
paper. I used the same process with the trees as I did with the previous card.
The background is ‘Mermaid Lagoon’ blended lightly.

• ‘Christmas Tag’ – I had a few pieces of blended paper using the same colours
as the ‘Night Sky’ card, so I cut one into a circle. Wanted to use a different
colour palette so I used Peacock, Oceanside and Aqua Sky paper from
‘Concord and 9th ‘, blending the tops of the trees with Faded Jeans on the darkest
colour and ‘Peacock Feathers on the other two. I wanted another layer for the
tag, so I used the largest die from ‘Stitched Circle Frames’ for the outside frame.
