A Man’s Birthday
Hi Crafty Friends,
I have a quick and fun project to share with you and it is perfect for the men in your life. If you have handy men around like I do, then the Tool Pouch die set by Papertrey Ink is wonderful die set to have around. There are many tools to choose from or you can include them all and add the tool pouch.
Lately, I have been enjoying the clean and simple look and this card design fits the bill!

I love all the cool tools in this die set. I chose a couple that were perfect for the recipient – my son-in-law.
I cut them from white card stock and ink-blended them. For the hammer, I used Papertrey Ink’s Antique Linen and Vintage Photo for the handle and Black Soot for the head. The screwdriver was colored using Crackling Campfire, Vintage Photo, and Black Soot. I also cut out and colored a few nails using Black Soot.
Next, I cut out a pocket from the Tool Pouch set and colored it with Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire. At the same time, I cut out the three shadow pieces for ‘You’re The Best” sentiment from the This Is Big: You’re The Best stamp and die set by Papertrey Ink. One shadow was cut from Night blue cardstock and the other two from white. Using one white shadow piece, I stamped the sentiment using Versafine Black Onyx ink.

The sentiment was stacked with the other white shadow pieces and the blue shadow was added to the back, slightly offset.
Now ready to assemble, I mounted the sentiment and the pocket and tools onto a white cardstock panel. A larger Night blue panel was added to the back.

I made a white cardstock card base that ws slightly larger and mounted the card front to it.
That’s it for today. I hope you think of the Tool Pouch by Papertrey Ink the next time you have a man’s card to make! ♥
