Holiday Ornaments

Holiday Ornaments

Hi crafty friends!

It’s Dana (IG: @dkirbystamps) here today, and I am back with a set of Christmas cards that use the Ornaments Stencil Pack from Kristina Werner with Concord & 9th. This set of stencils measures 6″x9″ and allows you to create two A2 card fronts at once, making mass-producing your holiday card fast and easy.

I started my card by creating my card panel with the Ornaments stencil pack and Concord & 9th ink. For stencils 1-4 I used a light hand with my blending brushes to give my ornaments a softer color. (Colors Used: Poppy, Parsley, Oceanside, Fig) For stencil 5, I used the same colors as above but pressed a little firmer with my brushes to create a darker snowflake on each of the ornaments for a tone-on-tone design. Lastly, I used Stardust ink for the ornament toppers (stencil 6). Once my panel was finished, I cut it in half and splattered it with a little white paint for a little added detail.

Next, I used a Circle die to die cut an offset circle from one of my panels. I attached the panel to my card base with foam adhesive and then inlaid the circle back into the opening. For my sentiment, I used the Elegant Holiday Greetings stamp and die set. I stamped my sentiment in black ink and used the coordinating dies to cut it out. I then die cut a second sentiment with Parsley cardstock and offset it behind my sentiment to create a shadow. Lastly, I attached my sentiment to the panel to finish my card.

On my second card, I kept my panel whole and attached my sentiment in the center of the panel for a clean and simple card.

Thanks for joining me today and I hope I inspired you to use the Ornaments Stencils to create some cards of your own. They are so easy to use and being able to create two cards at once is perfect for this busy time of year.

Enjoy your day,

Dana
