Daisies From Me To You
Happy Saturday Cardmaking Friends,
I know that many of you are wishing for Spring. Well, if you haven’t seen any signs of it yet, here is a sweet Spring-like card design for you. It features a new cover plate from Hero Arts called the Daisy Cover Plate, and it is perfect for chasing the winter blues away!

To begin, I cut out a Daisy panel using Waterfall cardstock, punched out all the flowers, then mounted it onto an A2-sized white cardstock panel.
Next, using the fabulous Kaleidoscope Arch die set by Spellbinders and white cardstock, I cut out the pieces. In this set, there are a couple of ways you can decorate your arch. I chose to stitch the center of it with a melon colored floss to match the flowers I would create next and add a filigree edge to it.
For the sentiment, I thought the one included in the Kaleidoscope set was so cute, I cut it out too!

When the stitching was complete, I assembled the arch and mounted it onto a white cardstock scalloped circle that I cut from Soft Scallops. As a quick side note, if you like the Soft Scallop circles too. They will be back in stock next week, but in the meantime, the Spellbinders Scallop Journal cards are a good option and are in stock.
With the scalloped circle and arch mounted onto the front of the card. I set to work on making the flowers. I didn’t use a separate die set for the flowers. Instead, I used the same Daisy cover plate and cut out a few flowers using Bellini cardstock.
To assemble the flowers, I cut out small circles of stiff acetate for my base, then added some glue and combined/arranged the cut-out petals to form flowers. You can see what I mean in the pic below.

Finally, to finish the card, all I had to do was arrange and attach the flowers using small foam squares. And VIOLA! My card was done.

I hope you enjoyed our cardmaking adventure today! I hope to see you next time! ♥
