Sparkle of Love

Hi Creative Friends,

I am sharing a sweet bouquet bursting with charming flowers from the Papertrey Ink die set called Into the Blooms: Mixed Bouquet.

Starting with the flowers, I cut out 2 sets of flower and leaf pieces from Bristol paper (for easy ink blending). After everything was cut out, I matched up the pieces for each flower. There is an illustration on the back of the Mixed Bouquet backing card to help with that.

I colored all the flowers and leaves using a variety of distress inks. I like to use a few different colors for each flower, and since the pieces are small, I find ink daubers or small ink blending tools work best.

For the foundational part of the card, I used the new hot-foil plate, Wild Arrow. The pattern was hot-foiled onto an Oceanside cardstock panel. To create a subtle border, I used Opal Glimmer Foil.

Next was to create the panel and sentiment. I first cut a decorative white cardstock panel using the Papertrey Ink Love to Layer: Polished Points, then stamped a sentiment from the Sparkle of Love stamp and die set by Penny Black. Versafine Clair Nocturne ink was perfect for this job!

The foiled Oceanside panel was mounted on top of a slightly larger white cardstock card base. The sentiment panel was next.

Finally, it was time to arrange and mount all the flowers and leaves. I used small foam squares and bits of glue here and there.

To finish, I added a few clear confetti rounds for extra sparkle.
