I am back with the kind folks at The Foiled Fox today bringing you three heat embossed cards colored with different mediums. I used the Moroccan Mosaic background stamp for all 3 of my cards today, each heat embossed in different colors…. Let’s take a look at the first one…
This card was heat embossed with Gunmetal embossing powder onto a card base I watercolored with Party Dress and Royal Treatment ink. After trimming it down, I added a sentiment and die cut to finish off the card.
For my next card, I stamped the Mosaic background with Memento Tuxedo black ink. I used this ink because I pulled out my dusty Copic Markers and Memento Tuxedo Black Ink is a copic friendly ink. I adhered it to a purple card base I scored using my score board.
I die cut the entire panel with a heart die cut. I wondered what would happen if I sprayed the heart with alcohol so I tried it out. It faded out the black ink and Copic marker colors a bit, which I think was a nice result! 🙂
And last but not least, I stamped the image with Versamark ink onto white cardstock and sprinkled on two colors of embossing powders, Sky Blue and Violet. Then, I took the Black Soot Distress Ink pad and pressed it all over my embossed image. Heat embossed images resist water based inks so I just wiped the ink off with a paper towel, and voila.
A pop of pink to finish off the card and a striped border. Oh, and see that sparkle? Thanks Wink of Stella glitter pen.
A huge thanks to Shauna and gang for letting me hang out here on the blog today!!! See you again real soon!
Awesome cards, I especially love the gunmetal friends card!
