Hi Creative Friends,
I am enjoying so much all the new Simply Graphic stamps and dies in our shop (you’ll have to check them out too!). This sweet card design features a wonderful stamp set called Bouquets.
There are so many ways you can use the Bouquet stamp set! In this card, I decided to use all the vases and bouquets to make this simple card.
So, I started by making an A2-sized white cardstock card base and then cut a white cardstock panel using the Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackable Lawn Cuts. This die set gives a nice stitched detailed edge to the panel.
Next, I mounted the panel in my stamp positioner and stamped the vases in a row, then stamped the bouquets all in Weathervane ink (see supply list below). With the bouquets stamped, I now had a good guideline for my shelf. Using my trusty C-Thru rulers (I love these – they are sooooo handy!) and Kuretake Zig Mangaka pen (or you can use a Pigma Micron pen, I drew a straight line below the vases and a line slightly above the bottom of the vases. To finish off my shelf, I capped the ends with a line, then drew a few wavy lines with a rough oval once in a while for the knots in the wood look.
The sentiment, from the Hello stamp set, was stamped with Versafine Black Onyx ink.
With all the elements stamped or drawn, I used a few Copic alcohol markers to lightly color the shelf, vases, and flowers. The colors I used are in the supply list below but here is a brief run-down.
All the Leaves: YG03, G94. — Yellow Flowers: Y13, y18, YR14, E79. — Roses: R01, R22, Y13. — Iris-like Flowers: BV23, V25, Y13 — Vases: BV23, BG10, G40
If you don’t have alcohol markers, then I think colored pencils would be lovely too!
Now, that the panel was finished, I mounted a foam panel to the back of the Bouquet panel, then mounted it onto the card base. This popped it up a bit for extra detail, along with a few clear confetti (or sequin is great too).
And there you have it — simple but lovely card for any occasion! ♥
