Today we are lucky enough to share two bright and cheery floral card designs by Dana Kirby (IG:@dkirbystamps). Both card designs feature the new Floral Celebration press plate and stencil set and they are just bursting with flowers and charm!
Hi friends! It’s Dana here again today and I am back with a couple of cards that use the Floral Celebration Betterpress press plate and coordinating stencil from Spellbinders. Let’s get started…
I started my card by using the Betterpress Letterpress System along with the Floral Celebration press plate. I inked the press plate up with Betterpress Black ink and ran it through my die-cutting machine along with a Spellbinders Betterpress Porcelain card panel. Since I had everything ready to use it was easy to make a few panels at this time.
Next, I used the Layered Floral Celebration stencils to add color to the florals and foliage. I love that there are stencils available with this press plate! It gives you so many more options and it is such a quick and easy way to add color to your panel. I used Concord & 9th ink for my blending (Ballet Slipper, Briar Rose, Wildberry, Grasshopper, Juniper, and Rainforest).
For my sentiment, I used the Sentiment Strips: Valentine stamp set from Pretty Pink Posh. I stamped the sentiment with VersaMark ink and heat-set it with white embossing powder. I then used the Sentiment Strip dies to die-cut my sentiment and my scalloped backer. Lastly, I used the Spring Foliage dies to die-cut a few floral accents for my card.

My next card is very similar to my card above. There are just a few minor changes… I again used Concord & 9th ink for my blending (Nectar, Spiced Cider, Honeycomb, Grasshopper, Juniper, and Rainforest). For my sentiment, I used the Everyday Expressions die set from Concord & 9th. I love these dies! The font, size, and overall design is perfect for adding to a card panel such as this.
