Delightful Frame of Flowers

Delightful Frame of Flowers

Hi Creative Friends,

Last week we shared a video of a new collection of charming stamps, stencils, and dies by Alexandra Renke. Alexandra Renke is always a favorite of ours so it is a pleasure to present a card design that features the beautiful Calyx flower die.

We love how you can use just a few goodies from Renke and create a special project every time. This project used the Calyx and Flower 4 dies and the String of Dots stencil.

We started with an elongated white cardstock card panel, String of Dots stencil, and Ranger Opaque Texture paste. The stencil was centered on the panel and the paste was spread evenly through the stencil.

We let the panel dry while we cut out the frame and flowers from white card stock. A simple blush of pink was added to the flowers with green for the stems. Daubers work great for a task like this!

A little pink was added to the white stenciled panel where the frame would be set. The frame was mounted using foam squares to pop it up. We also added a thin strip of black and white striped paper from our stash, then mounted the panel onto a matching white card base.

The flowers were arranged and mounted with a small foam square and the sentiment was stamped onto a sentiment strip that we cut out of white card stock and using the Spellbinders It’s Your Day BetterPress dies. Hint: we always have a supply of these sentiment strips ready, both printed and unprinted… they are soooo handy!

The sentiment was attached and pink enamel dots were added to give a pop of color.

That completes this card project. We hope you enjoyed it and will join us next time!
