Dandy Days For You

Dandy Days For You

Hi Crafty Friends,

We are welcoming back our very good friend, Rosali of I Love Stamping (IG: @ilovestamping) and she is sharing an adorable interactive card using the ever-cute Dandy Days stamp and die set by Lawn Fawn and their iris dies. You can always count on Rosali for something extra special and her little mice do the trick!

Check out how this wonderful interactive card opens and closes to reveal a charming little mouse friend!

Here it is when it is closed. Isn’t it absolutely charming? I love interactive cards… they are so much fun!

This interactive card has two major elements to it. First the scene and second the magic iris pieces and mechanics. Let’s start with the scene. Using a piece of Bristol (for better ink blending) a grassy border was created using Lawn Fawn’s Grassy Hillside stencil, along with Cracked Pistachio distress oxide ink and splatter of Lucky Clover distress oxide.

Then, for the sky, Tumbled Glass distress oxide was blended on the panel, adding splatters of Squeezed Lemonade distress oxide to add a sunny glow. Dandelions and the word ‘friend’ were stamped on the scene using Versafine Oynx Black ink.

With the background done, the little dandy mice were stamped and colored with Winsor Newton Watercolor Markers, then cut out using the matching die set.

The pieces that are included in the Magic Iris dies were cut out using Neenah 110lb. white card stock. Here is a picture showing the pieces and how many to cut of each one.

I have also linked Lawn Fawn’s video to help you in case you are not sure how all the pieces fit together.

After all the iris is assembled, the “For You” sentiment was added by cutting it from Bristol paper and blending on Squeezed Lemonade distress oxide ink. At the same time, a little ‘arrow’ tab was added, colored by the same sunny yellow ink.

I hope you enjoyed this little interactive card. It was so much fun making it!
