Happy Birthday with Stitched Blooms

Happy Birthday with Stitched Blooms

Hi there,

We are pleased as punch to be sharing this birthday card using the new My Favorite Things Big Birthday and Stitched Blooms dies. The bold flowers in the Stitched Blooms die set are sooo easy to color and make a big impact.

Check out the video below. It has all the details on how to make this card happen.

Here is the video for your viewing pleasure.

Below are several close-ups of both color combination. Each card uses the same techniques, just different backgrounds and color schemes.

The background was embossed using a stencil and the flowers were watercolored with distress stains.

The Big Birthday die by My Favorite Things is used to create a bold “Happy Birthday” sentiment. It was then popped-up with foam tape.

The blue background version is using the Candy Necklace heavy cardstock and embossed with stripes using a striped stencil and Hero Arts Sparkle embossing powder.

The flowers in this version were watercolored with Daniel Smith watercolors and the ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment was cut from Desert Storm paper.

I hope you enjoyed the video and the colorful flowers! See you next time.

  1. Love it when you provide multiple ideas and techniques. BEAUTIFUL TWICE OVER!!!! I wouldn’t have thought to use my stencils for embossing, great technique.
