Harvest Hues by Dana Kirby

Harvest Hues by Dana Kirby

Hi Creative Friends,

Now that it is September, we are on the cusp of Autumn. To celebrate this beautiful season, Dana Kirby, our friend, and awesome card maker is sharing a couple of card designs that are just splendid! She is using the brand new Autumn Hues stamp, die, and stencil set by Concord & 9th.

Hi Friends and Happy Monday!! It’s Dana here today and I am excited to be back sharing two cards that use the Autumn Hues set from Concord & 9th.

I started both of my cards by using the Autumn Hues Turnabout Stencils to make my card panels. The stencils are 6×6, so I cut my white cardstock the same size to make it easy to keep everything lined up. I knew if the stencil lined up with the edge of my cardstock, at each turn, everything would line up perfectly. So fun and easy to use! I used Sweet Blush, Terracotta Tile, Simply Chartreuse, and Ocean Tides ink for my blending.

Next, I used the Autumn Hue stamp and die set to create my sentiment. I stamped my sentiment with Ocean Tides ink and then die-cut the frame. I die-cut a second frame from Terracotta Tile cardstock and offset it behind the sentiment for some added interest. Lastly, I tucked in a few die-cut leaves behind the sentiment and added a few clear sequins as a final touch.

For my next card, I used the second stencil included in the Autumn Hues Turnabout Stencil Set to create a wreath. Just like above, I turned the stencil four times changing my ink color at each turn, to create the wreath.

To finish my card, I again used the Autumn Hues set to stamp my sentiment. Lastly, I attached both panels to Kraft card bases to finish my cards.

I love how quick and easy these turnabout stencils are to use. The color combinations are endless and I know you will love using them. I hope I inspired you to give them a try.

Enjoy your day,

Dana
