Hi Crafty Friends,
Today’s card design is brought to you by Rosali, from I Love Stamping blog (Instagram: @ilovestamping). Rosali has created an adorable design that you could easily mass produce for your Christmas card list. The little mice from Lawn Fawn’s Mice On Ice stamp and die set are just so cute! They will surely delight your card recipients!
Creating this card starts out with stamping the mice onto Bristol paper and coloring them. Rosali colored her cutey mice with Winsor & Newton watercolor markers but you could use Copic markers or any other marker you love to use. For a little extra pizazz, Rosali added a few accents on the mice’s cheeks, body, and scarf with a white gel pen. When done, she cut them out with the coordinating dies and set them aside for now.
Next, Rosali created a mask by cutting a star from the Lawn Fawn Puffy Star Stackables. She used the negative part of the mask (outline of the star) and adhered it to her white card base. Once it was in place, she blended, using her blending brushes, Cracked Pistachio in the center, then Peacock Feathers and finally Blueprint Sketch distress oxide ink on the outer edges of the star. When finished, she peeled off the mask to reveal the awesome star pattern.
To complete the card, Rosali stamped the sentiment onto red card stock using Versamark ink and then white heat embossing it. The sentiment was cut out using the Everyday Banner dies. To finish, a few snowflakes were stamped onto the front of the card design. The completed sentiment strip and mice were adhered with a bit of foam tape. For a dash of sparkle, a drop of Nuvo White Blizzard Glitter drops was added to the center of each snowflake.
And there you have it. The perfect Christmas card filled with Winter critters and fun! 🎄
