Nature’s Garland

Nature’s Garland

Hi Creative Friends,

I can’t stop making wintery/holiday cards. They are always so much fun so I am sharing a new video featuring a very versatile stamp set called Nature’s Garland. This stamp set has several winter foliage motifs. Here is just one way to put them in action.

The video link is below. There is nothing like watching a video to show you how everything was done… so here we go!

I love holiday cards that make it seem like we are having a snowy Christmas. This card design is serene and simple but brings a wintery chill.

To make the background, a few distress inks (Faded Jeans and Speckled Egg) were used, then the pine boughs were stamped with a few different green archival inks, plus a brown. I have listed a bunch of archival inks you can choose from… everyone likes choices, right?

By stamping and then moving the pine branch to another area, you can create a lovely pine bough. Just be careful not to stamp much of the branch on top of other branches. You can accomplish this by only stamping sections of the branch, not the whole branch. I used archival inks for the stamping. They always stamp a crisp image and are waterproof.

Splatters of white ink give this card design a wintery feel and the sentiment was from the Jolly Snippet stamp set by Penny Black. I reach for this set time and time again. It has soooo many stamps to choose from!

I hope you enjoyed the video and with any luck, it inspired you to make something of your own!
