Old School Typewriter Messages

Hi Creative Friends,

We are sharing fabulously fun card designs made by our very good friend, Dana Kirby. Besides being our friend, Dana is a super whiz at choosing the perfect colors and designs.

For her projects today, she is using the new Typewriter die-namics and their coordinating stamps and dies. She is sharing two samples today, each with its own character and color scheme. Take a look below. and don’t forget to check out Dana’s other awesome projects on her website or Instagram account.

Hi friends! It’s Dana here today and I am sharing two cards that use the Typewriter die from MFT Stamps. I love office supplies and there is nothing any cuter than a vintage typewriter!!

I started my cards by creating the typewriters with the Typewriter die set. You can watch a video on the MFT website, but it was very easy to assemble. Next, I used the Pull Tab Slider Die-namics to create the slider portion of my card. This die allows the typewriter paper to slide in and out of the typewriter to reveal the message.  I used the coordinating Typewriter: Friendship set for my sentiment, stamping it directly on the piece of paper that is included in the die set. There is also a Typewriter: Love sentiment set that can be used too. So Fun!!

For my pink typewriter, I used Raspberry Fizz, Lovely Lady and gold cardstock. I mounted my typewriter on a panel that was ink blended with Summer Sunrise ink and splattered with a little summer sunrise reindeer and white paint. Lastly, I used the Lawn Fawn Gotta Have Gingham Petite Paper Pack for my card panel/mat.

For my green typewriter, I decided to create a thank you card. With this set, it’s so easy to change the sentiment to create cards for lots of different occasions. I used New Leaf, Green Parakeet, and Limeade Ice cardstock for my typewriter.

I did want to mention that I didn’t have a stamp that said PULL, so I printed the word PULL on my printer and used the slide die to cut it out. The Pull Tab Slider dies are open so it makes it easy to die cut after printing or stamping.

Thanks for joining me today and I hope you enjoyed my cards! They are so fun to create and I love how the design can work well for so many different occasions!!

Enjoy your day,

Dana
