Hi Creative Friends,
We are welcoming Dana Kirby back to our blog today. As many of you know, she has quite an eye for color and composition so her projects are always awesome! We love her cheerful little Santas and the adorable mini scenes she has created. What a terrific way to send a gift…first the handmade card, then delightful matching gift tags!
Be sure to catch Dana on her blog and/or Instagram. She has lots more to share!
Hi friends! It’s Dana here today. I am excited to be back to share a Christmas card and some Holiday tags with you all.
I fell in love with the Santa Sends His Love set from MFT Stamps and couldn’t wait to use it! I love that the design can be colored or you can use the solid stamps that are included in the set. It really gives this set a lot of options.
I started my projects by doing all of my stampings. I used Gina K Designs inks for all of my stampings and I will list the colors below. Once I was finished stamping I used a Quickie Glue Roller Pen and added a fine line of glue onto the white of Santa’s coat and hat. I then added white glitter to the glued areas. It’s hard to see in the photo but I love the added sparkle for Christmas.
For my card panel, I ink blended Blue Denim ink onto a panel and then trimmed it down. I then added a few white paint splatters and stamped a few snowflakes onto the panel. Next, I created a snowbank with the Lawn Fawn Simple Stitched Hillside Border die. This is such a great set of basic dies and one that I reach for often. Lastly, I stamped my sentiment in VersaMark ink and added white embossing powder to finish it off.
Next, I created a couple of tags using the same stamped images. For my tags I used the MFT Stamps Cross-Stitch Tag die set. This is a great basic tag die and I love that it has the option for cross stitching too.
I die cut my tag from Enchanted Evening cardstock and added a piece of Pure Poppy polka dot paper to the top. I used the same Lawn Fawn hillside die to create my snowbank and then attached my images to finish my tags. I can’t wait to tie these onto some Christmas presents this year, I think they are so cute!
Thanks for joining me today. I hope you liked my card and tags… I am definitely getting in the mood for lots of Holiday crafting!
Enjoy your day,
Dana
