The Cat That Got Away With The Fish by Rosali

Hi Crafty Friends,

We are back with another terrific card design by Rosali of I Love Stamping or (Instagram: ilovestamping). She has created the CUTEST card – we love her humor of the cat nabbing the fish. It is just too cute! Below are a few notes on how she did it so you can create your own.

Today I have this fun card for you that I made for @foiledfox using the newest Lawn Fawn release! I hope you like the scene I created and get my humor, too! 😀 It took a little extra time to line up the “wallpaper” pattern but I really like how it looks like this!

Here is what happens when you pull the tab. Uh oh … the cat ran off with the fish!

First and the main step is to create the picture changing inset. To help with this, I followed along with this video from Lawn Fawn:

Just like in the video, my images were stamped with Copic friendly ink like Lawn Fawn’s Jet Black Premium ink and then colored parts with Copic markers. Then, like the example in the video, I used a Kraft paper for the frame and Neenah white card stock for the white card base and white paper parts. I also used the Spring Fling Petite paper pack for the patterned paper (see the supply list below for the main goodies used).

Once the inset was complete, I positioned and placed the patterned paper on the card base to match up perfectly with the inset. I also made sure that the changing ‘scene’ matched up with the first scene.

Right before I mounted the inset, I stamped the sentiment from the Happy Howloween stamp set and I just had to add the adorable winking face from the Lawn Fawn Let’s Toast stamp set.

The only thing left was to mount the magic picture inset and there we go – all done!
