Three Little Snowmen

Three Little Snowmen

Hi Creative Friends,

In our last post, we introduced you to the new winter collection from Simply Graphic. Simply Graphic is a fantastic craft company from France with the cutest stamps and dies. Today I am using their Snowmen die set, accompanied by the Winter Labels sentiment stamp set.

Hopefully, you had a chance to check out our latest video showcasing these wonderful items from Simply Graphic. I know I couldn’t wait to get my hands on them so I could bring you a few projects featuring them. I have added the video at the bottom of this post in case you haven’t seen it yet or want a quick review.

But for now, let’s jump in on the details of this card design. It all began with an A2 white card stock card base and an A2 white card panel.

I started with the white card panel and blended on Tumbled Glass distress ink as my base color, making the bottom darker than the top. In fact, not quite reaching the top with color. Next, I added Peacock Feathers distress ink to the bottom and middle of the panel. To intensify the color, I added a dash of Uncharted Mariner distress ink to the bottom. By the way, I added both the regular-sized ink pads as well as the minis to our supply list below in case you prefer one over the other.

When the ink was dry, I stenciled on some snowflakes using the Pretty Pink Posh Layered Snowflake stencil set and Ranger Texture Matte Paste.

While the paste was drying, I tore the edge of an A2 piece of white cardstock to use as my snowbank. I glued it to the bottom of the panel.

Next up were the snowmen. I cut these adorable little guys from white card stock and colored their accessories (hats, scarves, mitten, etc.) using a dauber.

With the panel dry, I mounted it to the front of the card base and stamped the sentiment from the Winter Labels stamp set using Versafine black onyx ink.

The snowmen were arranged, then glued them in place.

That finishes this project for today. I hope you enjoyed this festive and simple card. Check out our latest video (in case you haven’t seen it) for more Simply Graphic inspiration!
