Hi Everyone!
What a grand way to start the week!… We have Laurel Beard of Paper Crafts by Laurel blog as our guest today – yippeee! Laurel always has marvelous projects to share with us and today is no exception. Feast your eyes of this spectacular Triangle Turnaround card she created using Concord & 9th stamps and dies! … a great video and a quick bio of Laurel are included today too!
Hi there! I am pleased as punch to be guest designing with The Foiled Fox again. Be sure to check out their store and their blog for loads of inspiration. Have you seen the Triangle Turnaround stamp from Concord & 9th? Holy smokes. Amazing…… You can stamp it four times to create the same pattern as I did on today’s card, or you can stamp it just one, two or three times to get a different look! I love the 4 stamped result so that’s what I am sharing with you today, along with a video! The key to this is to make sure you turn the stamp the same direction each time. I am stamping with Distress Oxides today. I also have several pictures below showing different color combinations and what it would look like stamping it one, two, three and finally four times… 🙂 But first….. The video.
You can watch the video here on the blog (below) or over on my youtube channel in HD by clicking HERE ! And if you aren’t a subscriber, will you consider subbing (click HERE)? That would be totally awesome.
I just love the distress oxides! You can pile color on top of color without getting mud as long as your DRY the ink in between. I show that in the video! And of course, you know me, water droplets just were calling my name! So onto the butterfly they went! 🙂
How fun would it be to create different colored background panels… Make a whole bunch to have on hand when you need to pull a quick card together! Or make a card set with different color schemes on each card… Heat emboss some of the triangles even! Lots of possibilities! I hope they make more background turnarounds because I think this stamp set is amazing! Here are few backgrounds with different combinations:
And a quick look of what the stamp looks like stamped out in stages…
In case you can’t view the GIF file, or it bugs you in some way because it moves, still shots. 😉
Thanks so much to the folks at Foiled Fox for letting me crash their blog again! I heart them!
