Sweet Flowers!

FAST FRIDAY EDITION

Hi Creative Friends,

We are designating today as Fast Friday, celebrating a fast, easy card design without sacrificing charm and sweetness. To help make this happen, we are using the Leaf & Blooms die set and an awesome embossing folder, Molded 3D Frame. Each is from Spellbinders.

Let’s start with an A2 ‘Night’ blue panel and card base. The panel was embossed with the Molded 3D frame embossing folder and adhered to the card base.

The flowers were cut from Bristol paper. We love Bristol paper for its smooth, firm surface, making ink blending a snap! Using an ink dauber, we colored the flowers with Scattered Straw and Wild Honey, then splattered them with fine dots of Wild Honey, Ripe Persimmon, and little glints of gold ink.

The leaves were colored with Crushed Olive overall, then Rustic Wilderness and Pine Needles were added. The stems and leaves were splattered with Pine Needle ink and a splash of gold ink.

Next, the flowers and leaves were mounted to the front of the card, using foam squares and glue.

The final step was to add the sentiment. We used one of our very favorite Betterpress sets, Little Message. This set has many sentiments to choose from, and the letterpress impression is fabulous when using the Betterpress system (one of our favs!). We skipped gold foiling and instead inked the plate with Delicata gold ink and ran it through our die-cutting machine.

Can you believe it? We are all done!
