Hi Creative Friends,
Our good friend, Dana Kirby is sharing a super bright and cheery card with us today. She used the new Picked Posies stamp and die set by Concord & 9th. This set has wonderful blossoms, little flowers, and an assortment of greenery to make a sweet floral display.
Hi friends! It’s Dana here today with two cards that use the new Picked Posie set from Concord & 9th.
I fell in love with the Picked Posie dies when they were released. They are so pretty and the design possibilities are endless. I started my card by die-cutting all the elements with Papertrey Ink cardstock. The colors used: Raspberry Fizz, Summer Sunrise, Aqua Mist, New Leaf, and Green Parakeet.
Next, I built my bouquet on a card panel that had been die cut with Enchanted Evening cardstock and the Pinwheel Quilt Top die. This die makes a perfect background with just the right amount of detail. I used a combination of liquid glue and foam adhesive to attach the floral images to my card panel. Lastly, I used the Picked Posie Greetings stamp set to stamp my sentiment. This sentiment set includes several phrases and sweet sentiments that can be mixed and matched to create cards for lots of different occasions.
For my next card, I used all of the same supplies but just used softer colors.
For my floral images, I once again used Papertrey Ink cardstock. The colors used: Hibiscus Burst, Lemon Tart, Mint Julep, Vintage Jadeite, Lavender Moon, and white.
I love how by just changing the colors you can create such different cards with these dies. Which one is your favorite? Do you prefer the brighter and bold bouquet? Or are you a fan of the softer colors?
Thanks for joining me today. I hope you enjoyed my cards and I will be back soon with another project to share with you all.
Enjoy your day,
Dana
