Fresh As A Daisy
Hi Creative Friends,
Penny Black has a new release, and it has sooooo many lovely stamps and dies, it was hard to choose which one to choose first! But the Fresh As A Daisy die caught my eye, so here is a sweet floral card for your next recipient.

I started with the flowers to plunge into the swing of things! They were cut out of cold-pressed watercolor paper, then dunked in water. Yep, I dunked the whole flowers in water then used the reinkers straight out of the bottle, with a drop of Seedless Preserves at the top of the petals, then let it stream down the petals. A dash of Picked Raspberry was added, along with a very slight bit of Wild Honey reinker. The Wild Honey was used again for the center of the flower. The leaves were painted using Crushed Olive, with Rustic Wilderness as shading. The flowers were set aside to dry.
Next, I used a Spellbinders Cotton Porcelain panel for its lovely texture and its slightly thicker heft. I dampened the back with water, then embossed using another new goody from Penny Black, the Flora Gala embossing folder. It was mounted onto a white card panel slightly bigger than a white card base.

Penny Black’s Oval Whirl die was used to cut a white cardstock oval, and an Alabaster cream oval was mounted in the center, then added to the front of the card.
The flowers were arranged together, and a leafy stem was cut from vellum, using the new Ascent die, to pair with the flowers. Foam squares were used to pop up the flowers, then attached with glue at the bottom.

For the sentiment, I chose one from another new set from Penny Black called Positivity. I used Nocturne ink for a crisp, black sentiment.
And there we have it… a sweet floral card ready for almost any occasion! ♥
