Have A Dandy Birthday with Rosali

Hi Everyone,

We are back sharing a cute-as-button card design by Rosali of I Love Stamping (Instagram: @ilovestamping). You can always count on Rosali to bring a smile to your face with her adorable designs. Today it features those little mice in the Dandy Day stamp and die set by Lawn Fawn.

Rosali starts out using the Zig Zag Circles by Lawn Fawn and cutting out three different sized circles from a card front sized panel of masking paper. Then applying the whole panel onto a Neenah white cardstock card base, leaving the inside of each circle open.

Using a blending tool, she blended on a duo of distress ink color inside each circle – Tumbled Glass and Broken China – Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers – Shaded Lilac and Dusty Concord. Once done, she peeled off the mask to reveal three colorful circles to create a clever, fun and easy background.

With the background complete, it was time to stamp and color the little mice and their dandelions and wishies. The mice and their props were stamped with permanent ink, Versafine Clair Nocturne, then colored with Winsor & Newton watercolor markers. When all was done, they were cut out using the matching dies and little accents were added with a white gel pen.  Their little eyes were made brighter with a black gel pen too.

Rosali then stamped a curved sentiment from Lawn Fawn’s Reveal Wheel Sentiment stamp set in each circle. Followed up with stamping “Have A Really” and “Birthday” onto strips of Black Licorice cardstock with Versamark ink, then heat embossing it with white embossing powder.

The card was nearly done! The only left was to add foam tape to the back of each cut-out piece and place it! The result: A card filled with merriment and delightful little mice – that’s just perfect, don’t you think?
