Hi Crafty Friends,
We have a wonderful card design by Rosali from the I Love Stamping blog and IG @ilovestamping. But before we jump into the ins and outs, I want to take a minute and say how AWESOME all our readers are! When I suggested leaving a comment if you were so inclined, you guys responded with all sorts of loveliness! Thank you so very much. We appreciate you all so much!! ♥
Now, on to this adorable squirrel!
Rosali started with a white Bristol paper card base and stamped a row of darling little mushrooms that are in the set, using very light ink. Antique Linen distress ink is a good one for this! Once that was done, she added a background using a couple of distress oxide inks; Tumbled Glass and Twisted Citron and a little water and brush.
With the background painted, it was time to stamp the squirrel onto a small piece of remaining Bristol paper and color it and the mushrooms with colored pencils.
There are only a few details left to finish the card. First, the squirrel was cut out using the matching die set and a sentiment strip was cut from black cardstock, using one of the dies from MFT’s Blueprint 28 die-namics set. Sending Hugs (from the MFT SY Joyful Bears set) was stamped and white heat embossed. Finally, the squirrel was mounted with a bit of foam tape, along with the sentiment strip. Black ink splatters where added, the corners were trimmed to a nice round shape and a few enamel drops. were added. This completes this adorable little mini scene!
