Aubrey Blooms – Take 2

Aubrey Blooms – Take 2

Hi Creative Ones,

In my last post, I shared a floral card design featuring the Aubrey Blooms set by Kristina Werner and Concord & 9th. In case you haven’t seen it, Aubrey Blooms is a delightful stamp with beautiful flowers and a matching stencil set. In my last post, I used the stamp and the stencil (check it out here). I couldn’t get enough of this beautiful stamp and how versatile it is, so here is another version!

This is a quick and easy project. I used a piece of hot-pressed watercolor paper, my stamp positioner, and a few inks.

With the stamp mounted in my positioner and my paper panel, I first inked and stamped the whole floral stamp with Buttercup ink by Concord & 9th.

The second time I inked and stamped the panel, I inked the top part with Buttercup, then Ripe Persimmon in the middle, and Pimento at the bottom, then lightly spritzed the whole stamp using the awesome Mighty Mister by Spellbinders to get the inks moving.

I continued to ink and stamp with these three colors (and spritzing when necessary) until I achieved the saturation of color I desired.

While the panel was drying, I embossed white cardstock using the Stylized Lattice embossing folder (which, by the way, is listed at a special price!) and cut it into a square.

Then, using the new Square Thin Frames die set by Kristina Werner, I cut out the floral panel and a thin frame from white cardstock.

The floral panel and thin frame were mounted onto a foam backing, then applied to the embossing square.

For my sentiment, I used one of the many sayings I had previously stamped and cut out from the Concord & 9th So Many Sayings stamp and die set (one of my faves).

And there we have it, a super easy and delightful card that could be used for almost any occasion – change the sentiment to match your occasion, and you are set!
