Birthday Paw-ty
Hi Creative Friends,
You can never have enough birthday cards at the ready in my book, and the Puppy Paw-ty stamp and die set is perfect way to celebrate an animal lover’s birthday. This card was for a special person who just got her own little puppy to love.

I had loads of fun making this card. It gave me a chance to do a little coloring with my alcohol markers and color one of my favorite subjects… puppies. I made a shaker window and a big heart balloon for extra fun.
I started by stamping my three furry friends with a few paw-ty hats, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink (my fave for alcohol marker-friendly inks). Then, dove into coloring.
Once the coloring was done, the puppies and hats were cut out using the matching dies and were set aside while I created the card base and shaker.
Using a smaller rectangle with stitching, I cut out a rectangle from a white cardstock panel, added an acetate piece to the back for the window, then placed foam around the window and the rest of the panel.

A sprinkling of Sparkling Clear Confetti was added to the ‘well’ created by the window and foam. A piece of light blue cardstock was added to the back. This gave a soft background to the shaker window and was a ‘lid’ to hold in all the sparkle confetti. This whole assembly was mounted onto a larger white cardstock panel, then onto a white cardstock card base.
From there, I cut out and ink-blended a big heart balloon from the Kristina Werner and Concord & 9th Banners and Balloons stamp, die, and stencil set. I used Buttercup ink and Clementine orange ink on the edges and circles
The ‘Happy’ from the Puppy Paw-ty set was stamped in black and cut out, along with a couple of sentiment strips stamped and cut out. This is where a little scrap of colored cardstock comes in handy!
The puppies and balloon were arranged and popped up with foam squares. To finish, the sentiments were added.

I hope you enjoyed this little cardmaking adventure. I sure did.
Thanks for joining me and I hope to see you next time. ♥
