Hi Creative Friends,
We are so excited to share a new card design featuring a couple of new holiday Alexandra Renke goodies. Some of you know, but in case you don’t, Alexandra Renke offers gorgeous stamps, dies, stencils, and embossing folders. Everything she does delights the eye!
For our card design today, we have used the Fir Wreath and the Most Wonderful Time of the Year sentiment stamp. This is just one example of her brilliance, with more to come!
The Fir Wreath die is a simple one but it is packed with beauty and elegance. The delicate and wispy nature of this die is delightful. In this example, we have used it as a Christmas motif but it would be equally fabulous for any occasion… just let your imagination run wild!
It is also a super fast make. We started by cutting three Fir Wreaths, then ink blending two out of three wreaths. One with Bundled Sage distress ink and the other with Rustic Wilderness and a touch of Forest Moss of the ends. For the third one, we sprayed it with Glitter Dust, an awesome product that sprays a fine mist of glitter. We have included the Silver and the Gold Glitter Dust one in our supply list in case you like one over the other.
When the three wreaths were dry, they were stacked with the darkest one on the bottom, the glittered one in the middle, and the lighter green on top.
Next, we prepared a white card base from Neenah white card stock and cut a matching panel of Spellbinders BetterPress Cotton card stock. We love this paper. It has a glorious texture and feel, perfect for the top panel.
The panel was mounted in our stamp positioner, along with the sentiment from the new Alexandra Renke Most Wonderful Time of the Year stamp set. We prepped the panel by liberally applying anti-static powder, then inked the sentiment with Versamark ink, and stamped it. The embossing powder was next, then heat-set.
Now, the only thing left to do was to mount the embossed panel to the card base and gently glue the wreath on top.
The card was done in a matter of minutes and we love it! We hope you did too! ♥
