Hi Creative Friends,
I am so excited to share a holiday card design that I just love! I used two new Christmas dies from our new Alexandra Renke collection to create it, the Reindeer Sleigh and City Silhouette.
These two dies from Alexandra Renke are part of their negative collection. They are so cleverly designed and you would be amazed how easy and fast they are to use.
To start, I cut out a navy blue panel approximately 4 3/4″ x 6 3/4″. Then, sprayed it liberally with Glitter Dust, then set it aside to dry.
Hint: If you want to skip this step, use a glitter paper panel of your choice.
Next, using a heavy white cardstock panel the same size (4 3/4″ x 6 3/4), I centered the Reindeer Sleigh over top and cut it out using my die-cutting machine. By the way, my favorite paper for this project is the all-cotton Spellbinders Porcelain BetterPress cotton. It has a luxurious texture and weight.
The next panel was also heavy white card stock but this time I made it a little larger, then centered the City Silhouette die over the top and cut it out.
Since the panel was a little larger, I had some wiggle room to position it perfectly behind the Reindeer panel, then trimmed off any excess.
The navy panel was now dry, ready to be mounted behind the two white panels.
Next, this whole assembly was mounted onto a white card stock card base.
Believe it or not, all that was left was the sentiment. I chose one from the wonderful Merry & Bright Christmas Time stamp set (see supply list), and stamped it onto a piece of white card stock using Midnight ink.
The sentiment was then cut out using a circle die and mounted, along with a couple of short strands of white cord, onto the card front.
And that was all there was to it. I am so pleased with how it turned out and am in love with the simplicity and dreamy effect of the silhouettes and glittery sky! ♥
Gorgeous card!!
Thank you so much!
