Hello Everyone!
Our guest today is one of the most giving and helpful ladies around… not to mention is loads of fun. You probably guessed it, Laurel Beard of Paper Crafts by Laurel is with us today. Laurel has done so many great things for fellow crafters and the world of paper crafting. Laurel and her friends head up the Lawnscaping Challenge blog and she began the Simply Cardmaking with Laurel Beard, a shareable forum. While you take in her beautiful card making art, take a minute to read a little more about her!
Laurel is treating us to two cards, both using the Sweet Perfume stamp by Penny Black. One is so rich with beautiful watercolor. The other features an elegant and chic black and white, with a touch of gold floral theme. Enjoy!
For my first card, I stamped the Sweet Perfume image onto some watercolor paper with Onyx Black pigment ink, sprinkled on some clear embossing powder and heat set. Then I added some watercolors using my Kuretake Gansai Watercolors. After the watercolors were dry, I used Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Rectangle die and ran it thru my die cutting machine. I decided the card needed some polka dots of some sort so I grabbed the Concord & 9th Brushed Blossoms stamp set and grabbed the little dots that were intended for the flower centers and created my own dotted paper! 🙂
My next card! A little black/white/gold color scheme! I stamped the same image from Penny Black with white pigment ink, sprinkled on some white embossing powder and heat set. Then I added that stitched border again with Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Rectangle die.
I stamped the floral image again onto some watercolor paper and colored in one of the larger floral background images with some Gold watercolors from the FinTec Mica Watercolors and fussy cut out the floral image, lined it up against the floral background and and popped it in place with some foam dimension. To finish off the card, I added some shading with some Black watercolors from the Kuretake Gansai watercolors.

I really love how you showed two totally different looks with the same stamp. They are both so beautiful!
Oh such pretty cards! That’s a great stamp!!
Gorgeous cards! The watercolored one is a knock out! Love the coloring! Beautiful stamp!
Even though the stamp used is the same, the results are so different! I love how you obtained the dotted background on the first card, too. Both cards are lovely. Thanks for sharing.
Such classy cards, I especially like the contrast of the gorgeous colouring with the spotted background. I would never have thought of that; it works beautifully.
Beautiful cards! I particularly like the black and white card accenting one flower.
Beautiful cards,You always inspire me and I love all your videos.
