Hi Creative Friends,
Yes, I am still making Christmas cards. I can’t seem to stop. This is my favorite time to creative so I had to have a little play. I used the sweet Winter Magic Snowman and Tree stamp set and matching dies. I hope you enjoy it.
I have been enjoying the card designs I have seen on my Instagram feed, which feature rows of icons. I think they are simple and fun so here is my version.
I started by making a few snowmen and trees in the set. I stamped them onto white card stock with alcohol-marker-friendly ink. My favorite is the Memento Tuxedo Black. Then, using a few markers, I colored them in. They were cut them out using the matching dies.
For the sentiment, I grabbed the Waffle Flower Snow Cheer stamp and die set. This set is chocked full of great wintery sentiments. To get a crisp impression, I used another favorite, Versafine Black Onyx ink. When the ink was dry (this ink has a long open time), I cut it out using the coodinating dies.
With all the pieces ready, I made an A2 white card stock card base, then cut a piece of red plaid paper (or you could make your own!). The plaid paper was mounted on top of the card base and a slightly smaller white panel was added too.
The snowmen and trees were mounted with foam squares and the sentiment was placed in the center.
That was all there was to it. It was a snap to make and I love the crisp wintery vibe! (By the way, these little snowmen and trees are great for holiday tags too!) ♥
