Love Letters

Love Letters

Hi Everyone,

We are sharing a quick but super fun project with you today using the new Love Letters and matching enamel shapes by Concord & 9th. We just love how quick they are to make… so quick, we made two!

You could easily make a bunch and spread your love!

This card design could not be simpler. Choose your colors, cut out the pieces, and put them together. That’s all there is to it!

Here is a little more detail.

For the first card, we made an A2-sized white cardstock card base and matching white panel. We also cut a light grey (Fog) panel, then using the border die included in the Love Letters die set, we ran it through our die-cutting machine and cut out the border.

The white and light grey detail panels were then mounted on top of the card base.

Next, using a bristol paper panel (for easy ink blending) and a few Concord & 9th inks (Poppy, Honeysuckle, and Nectar), we swiped the panel with the ink pads until we had the desired effect. We love using Concord & 9th’s foam ink pads and/or cubes for this technique! The ink just glides on!

Continuing one, we cut two of the shadow pieces and sandwiched/glued them together, then cut out the letters using the inked panel we just made.

The letters were mounted on top of the shadow, then everything went onto the front of the card base completing the card – wasn’t that simple!

We followed the same steps as the first card for the second. Only this time we used Concord & 9th Nectar cardstock for the heart-bordered panel and Honeysuckle cardstock for the shadow.

The letters were cut out of white card stock, then using the matching enamel shapes (these are brilliant!), we filled in the heart and leaf pattern to create a vibrant and dimensional element to the letters.

Everything was assembled to complete the second card.

And there you have it, two cards made in the blink of an eye!
