Hi Creative Friends,
Dana Kirby (IG: @dkirbystamps) is visiting today and sharing a wonderful card duo. She used the extraordinary Our House set of stamps, dies, and an embossing folder from Concord & 9th. This set has tons of detail and is super versatile for the whole year!
Hi friends! It’s Dana here today and I am back with a couple of Holiday cards that use the Our House Set from Concord & 9th. This set includes dies, an embossing folder, and a small stamp set that can be used to make the most adorable houses to use throughout the year!
I started my card by using the Our House dies to create the base and roof of my house. I then used the Our House embossing folder to add texture to the house and roof. I love the subtle detail the embossing folder adds. Once the basic house was assembled I used the Our House dies and Our House extra dies to die cut and create all of the fun details. I used Concord & 9th cardstock for all of my die cutting (Poppy, Nectar, Parsley, Juniper, Sea Glass and White). Once everything was die cut I used a strong liquid glue with a fine tip to assemble my house and to add all the details. Lastly, I used the House stamp set to stamp the sentiment onto my banner with VersaMark ink. I then heat set the sentiment with white embossing powder.

Although the house will fit on an A2 card base I decided to create a shape card. I die cut the house with the Our House dies from white cardstock. I then used my Scor-Buddy to add a 1/2 inch score line across the top of the house. *Make sure you use the scoring tool to create a strong crease on the scoreline. I added a strong double-sided tape across the top of the roof line and then attached it to my card front to create the back flap. You can stamp a sentiment or add a few fun die cuts to the inside of your card for a little added detail! I just love all the possibilities!
For my second card I changed the colors and used a few of the other dies included in the Our House die set to create another Christmas card. I also used the Our House Extras die set to create my windows and bushes. Although the extra dies are optional I love that you can create multiples with one pass through your die cutting machine!. For this house I once again used Concord and 9th cardstock (Nectar, Sorbet, Juniper, Lemongrass, Artichoke, Pebble and Silver). I love how you can create a completely different look by just changing the colors of cardstock you use and swapping out a few of the dies. Which house is your favorite?
Thanks for joining me today and I hope you enjoyed my cards. I am in the middle of Christmas crafting right now so that is what I created though I can’t wait to use this set to create birthday cards, congratulations, new home, welcome to the neighborhood and so much more!! It is definitely a set I will use often!
Enjoy your day,
Dana
