Hi there,
What September would be complete without a beautiful spray of Autumn flowers to kick off the Fall season. Laurel Beard of Simply Cardmaking is showcasing these gorgeous flowers from the Concord & 9th Grateful For Everything stamp. Check out her watercolor magic!
HI there! Laurel Beard for The Foiled Fox bringing you this eye-catching card! Simplicity is more in my books. You don’t have to go over the top with design and supplies to create something you love. Take this card for instance. I used the Grateful for Everything stamp set, one waterproof ink pad, 3 paint colors from this watercolor set, watercolor paper and one paintbrush.
I chose to work with Strathmore watercolored paper because its a good, bright white! I stamped the floral cluster (if you look at the stamp set it has a second stamp that creates a shadow around this cluster) with a waterproof black ink and then began to watercolor. This took little to no time at all. I put lots of paint on my damp (not soaking wet brush) and touched it to image in various places. I did not do a lot of blending here. Maybe just a little bit of water to smooth out any harsh lines.
See? So fun! Easy to mass produce and use different sentiments to create a custom card set. The supplies I used are linked below for your reference!!!!! 🙂 THANKS SO MUCH for letting me hang out with you all today.
