Playing with Alcohol Inks with Laurel Beard

Hello,

We are pleased as punch to welcome Laurel Beard back with us today. She has been having lots of fun with her alcohol inks and is sharing one of her beauties with us… and bringing a ‘how-to’ video – Woohoo!!

I am sure most of you know Laurel. She is the bubbly, fun one that keeps us entertained and educated on all the latest. But in case you missed some, check out her project, video and mini bio below. Then, be sure to pop over to her blog for some extra excitement!

I am giddy to be guesting with the Foiled Fox again today and this time, I have an alcohol inked background to share with all today. I have just started my adventure with alcohol inks and am learning so much! I have my first technique video (check it out below) up on my youtube channel with the basics and have a huge list of other techniques I am going to try! An Alcohol Inks series is in the works…..

Using some Yupo Paper, Alcohol Inks and a gorgeous stamp set from The Foiled Fox, I was able to easily create this card.

I stamped the trees from the Snowy Village stamp set with Jet Black Archival ink, sprinkled on some clear embossing powder and carefully heat set. Working on Yupo paper is the best paper to use for Alcohol inks but it does warp easily. So carefully move your heat gun around as quickly as possible and you should be good to go. I finished it off with a word die cut from glitter paper.

Be sure to head on over to The Foiled Fox shop and check it out!
