Hello Everyone,
I just love this sentiment! It seems so hopeful and fun. Sometimes that is just what you need to keep going and have a happy face.
This project is a Copic coloring extravaganza! The floral spray from the Concord & 9th Hello Lovely stamp set was stamped twice onto Neenah white cardstock (110lb.) using Versamark ink and then heat embossed with Hero Arts Detail Black embossing powder. Next, I colored the entire panel with Copic Markers. Below is a color key of all the colors used:
Like usual, when starting to color any object with my Copic markers, I start with the lightest color, then work my way up to the darkest color. I will then use one of the lighter colors to blend and smooth out the object (in this case a flower or leaf).
After all the flowers and leaves were colored, I started on the background. Again, using the same technique as the flowers and leaves, I started with the lightest color (C00), coloring all the background, then added layers of C0, C1 and C3 until the entire background was covered and the way I liked it.
To complete the panel, I sprinkled on some colorless blender solution (99% alcohol may work) to give a mottled look to the background and added circles of C5 in different areas for more interest. The panel was then trimmed using the largest die in the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables set.
No card is complete without a sentiment, right? I decided I would stamp this charming and uplifting saying onto vellum using Delicata Black Shimmer ink. I stamped it a few times using a stamp positioning tool (like a MISTI or Stamp Platform) so I could get a nice dark impression.
A Blueberry Sour (blue) panel was adhered to a white card base and the flower panel with the vellum sentiment wrapped around it was added on top. And, there we go… all done!
