Watercolor Melody Makers by TaeEun

Hi there,

We are sharing another fantastic card by TaeEun of Rainbow In November blog. TaeEun is AWESOME at coloring, no matter the medium. Today she featuring a card with the beautiful birds and flowers in the Melody Makers stamp by Penny Black. Take a look below at the vibrant blending of her watercolors.

Hello everyone! It’s TaeEun here again sharing another card I made for The Foiled Fox blog with you! The main image of my card is  Melody Makers from Penny Black. Last week I shared a card using the same stamp but colored with alcohol inks. This time I watercolored the beautiful image!

To start off I stamped Melody Makers in Versafine black ink on Canson XL watercolor paper and colored it with Color Burst.

I used Peony for the flowers, Lime Green and Sap Green for the leaves and Lemon Yellow, Cerulean Blue, Orange and Tangerine for the birds. The background was colored in Cerulean blue and a little bit of Peony. I applied Micro Glaze on the panel which gave the image more vibrant finish.

The panel was cut with a Distressed Edges die from Spellbinders. I glued the frame flat on the card base and foam mounted the main panel onto the place.

The sentiment is from Grateful Heart by Penny Black. I gold heat embossed it on a parchment vellum, cut it using a circle die and Distressed Edges die I used for the colored panel and glued it onto the card. I drew the eyes using black and white glaze pens and added yellow dots using Pico Embellisher.

Hope you enjoyed looking my card!

Thank you so much!

TaeEun
