Big, Bright Balloons

Big, Bright Balloons

Hello Crafty Friends,

I am excited to share another video featuring Big Balloon by Papertrey Ink – Ink To Paper. This stamp and die set is so much fun. It has all the makings to create the festive celebration card. Then, when you combine it with the Big Balloon Sentiment set, you have sentiments at the ready for almost every occasion you can think of!

I just love these big, round balloons. They make quite a statement and the best part is you can choose any color scheme and/or any occasion. It doesn’t get any better than that, does it?

Take a look at the video below for all the steps and materials used (complete supply list below for your convenience too)

I stamped the balloons onto watercolor paper using Papertrey Ink inks, then brush on more color. Hopefully, you have a chance to view the video so you can see exactly what I mean.

After the balloons were colored, I added some tiny dots on each using the matching Big Balloon stencils and some Glitz gel. I also stamped and white heat embossed “Celebrate” on the center balloon.

While the balloons were drying, I moved on to creating the background. It was made with a white card stock panel and stamping the balloon strings, then the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Big Balloon Sentiment set. Next, I added colorful confetti dots by using opaque texture paste colored by the inks, then applying the dots through one of the larger Big Balloon Stencil Dots. Be sure to refer to the video and supply list below for all the goodies used to make this happen.

With the top panel done, I created a slightly larger white card stock card base, added a glimmery glitter paper panel, then added the confetti dotted panel on top. The big balloons were attached with a bit of foam tape to complete the card,
