Hi there,
Today we are sharing some magical fun. The Fairy Princess card was made for a little girl’s birthday party. It was created using the My Favorite Things Once Upon A Time stamp and die set.
This card starts with the scene inside the shaker. Using a piece of white bristol paper and full adhesive post-it notes, two hills were cut out from the post-it notes and placed over the bottom portion of the bristol paper. Then the sky was created by a blending tool and tumbling glass and the castle was stamped on top of the highest hill and a butterfly was stamped too with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
The castle and the butterfly was colored with Copic markers (check out the Copic guide below for the specific colors used). Then the sky was masked off using full adhesive post-it again and the hills were revealed.
Mowed Grass distress ink was added to the hill area using a blending tool, then Crushed Olive distress ink so added to lighten some areas. Once the hills were done, they were lightly spritzed with water for a little grass texture and sprigs of grass and flowers were added with colored pencil.
Next, the princess, bird and another butterfly was stamped onto white card stock. They were colored with Copic markers (see guide).
With the princess, bird and butterfly colored and cut out, it is time to make the top panel and shaker of the card.
A bristol paper panel was colored first with Antique Linen distress ink and then Worn Lipstick distress ink was applied to the edges of the panel. The panel was lightly sprinkled with water to give more texture. The sentiment was stamped and embossing with gold embossing powder. Finally, the corners were rounded with a Corner Chomper and the panel was splattered with gold mica paint from the Finetec Mica paints.
The assembly starts with a white card base and the pink panel with foam on the back, was mounted on top. Then, the castle panel was added on top.
To create the shaker, a white card stock frame was created using the Stitched Dome Frames by My Favorite Things, then acetate applied to the back. After that, foam tape was added around the perimeter, flower sequin added to the center and the frame was placed on top.
To finish the card, the princess was added to the front, along with the bird and butterfly with foam tape and dots of Nuvo Morning dew were added.
Now, you have a card suitable for any little princess in your life!
